t'is true. I think about selling the STI from time to time. I drive it but once a week, if that. Was wondering if maybe it's better off out of the driveway and hiding in a savings account waiting to buy a house.

I would definitely miss it though, and sometimes I think maybe I'd get something with no car payment.

Up in Ridgefield at the Keeler Tavern. Small wedding. Everything went smooth.

We've been dating for 12 years, so at this point it's a bit of a formality.

We're getting serious about looking at houses and actually are beginning to see houses this weekend. We have a pretty decent budget, but I don't think I'll quite get 20% down. PMI for a little while I suppose.

Considering how heartless my daily is, I really am not sure I could get by without a fun car. My M is horribly impractical though, and I've only driven it about 1k miles this year. It's paid off though in about a year, and probably wont depreciate too drastically from where it is now.

I've had thoughts about getting rid of it for something else. I always end up looking at X5 M's, which would mean another couple years of car payments again

X5 M would be dirty!

What are are you looking in Greg? I've had my eyes on Fairfield, Bethel, Redding, Norwalk (West Norwalk). Enjoying being in Stratford so far, but I dont think I'd want to make the commute down to Darien when it comes time to buy

We are starting in Redding, Wilton, Weston, and Ridgefield. I love living in Fairfield, so we may end up looking there too. However, I'd want to stay in the Greenfield Hills area, which would be near impossible.

The Mrs. works in New Canaan, and I'm over in Mt. Kisco, so we need to find some middle ground that works for both of us.

I love that generation X5. I think they look even better than the new ones. Throw in a 4.4L TT V8 with 550hp and I'm sold.

This thread is dead as a door nail. Max must be off pounding Korean hookers again.

Just got back from Italy after 12 days. Needless to say it is a beautiful place, but I am very happy to be home. Need to take the M out for a ride today, as it basically turned to fall while I was gone.

Hopefully moving back to Redding next month! I'll then be have no excuse for not making Cars and Coffee if they start back up.

Italy? NICE! Did you meet up with Jonny while in Europe? No Korean hookers yet, but I am going to Alaska on Sunday.

Welcome back, Greg! If things go smoothly, let me know where you end up in Redding. Looking at a few properties in Bethel myself right now, but I'm content with waiting a little longer too; we'll see what happens.

I've had some terrible sellers remorse after selling the WRX, so I went out and bought two Honda CB350s (one is all together, the other in parts) to help hold me over. Got them for a steal, so I couldn't say no.

Images of the bike that's together are below. Just need to clean it up a bit, some small tweaks, and it will be good to go in the spring. You can see the other bike (and a lot of it's parts) scattered around.

Hoping to make the last Caffeine & Carburetors in October. Looks like they're moving it to Waveny Park this month.

Na, he was in Northern Italy when we were there but too far away. We were on our honeymoon so hanging out with friends probably wouldn't have been well received

I'm going to NJ in 2 weeks

Nice bike! Much different from the WRX, but still gives you a chance to get the adrenaline flowing. Your first bike?

We are getting dangerously close to signing contracts. Everyone involved is making it more difficult than it needs to be. Hopefully should be in there at the end of October. Buying a house is a huge hassle and a pain in the ass. Looking is fun, but after that everything just becomes difficult. It has really consumed me over the last month.

Yeah, it's my first bike. Haven't even driven it yet. A friends brother-in-law is helping me get it ready for the spring with catching up on all it's maintenance. Going to put some wool polish to all the chrome parts to get it looking cherry too!

It's difficult choosing between saving for a house or having fun with your car.... Part of you wants to be responsible and think about the future, the other half wants to live in the moment knowing that it could all be over tomorrow...
