Default Increase CFM on Rad Fans to increase cooling

I am looking for the experience of others who have changed the OEM radiator fans for something that will pull more CFM. I am hoping this is the correct place and saw one in 2.0 with no helpful replies.

Problem, I drive in a mountainous area that often hits 105 to 110f air temp / tarmac. I have added a 2.5 + inch aluminum radiator, new water pump with a (tested) OEM thermostat. With all of this the engine temp will climb to 2/3 rds on the gauge, showing 220 to 230+ on the Accessport. I never let it go for long at that temp as I have already replaced on set of HGs

Would like to find a way to keep it at 1/2 or less under stressed driving.

Other suggestions from experience are gratefully accepted.

I have seen my AP coolant read in the 230s and my gauge still stayed at half, but i have a 2011 wrx

Is you ac condenser original? How clean are the tube fins?

You do realize that while you are driving your fans are off... til you stop and they need to turn on.

The cooling fans are activated based on coolant temp. If he is hitting 220 while driving the fans are going to kick on. The fans also come on with the ac running.
Of course at idle there is no air flow so temps naturally rise and fans will cycle on then too. His issue is beyond normal operating conditions.

OP, not a Subaru but I have used SPAL high power fans on my own relay and custom shroud to get more CFM. 230 coolant temp is overheating IMO, I would not be comfortable pushing the car at that temp.

My car never gets above the first line no mater what type of driving Im doing and I live in a desert where air temp is usually 110+ and run my AC

Aftermarket fans that match OEM capabilities are going to be tough to come by unless you spend some decent money on them (+$400).

What radiator are you running? No decent radiator should be in that temp range under those conditions.
