The 2014 wrx doesn't have a catted up. The ots stg 2 map isn't "crappy". And boost creep does depend on you not being retarded, and installing parts that aren't in the map notes. Just FYI.

I have a 2013 wrx, installed Megan oe-rs catback a while ago. Want to add a megan dp. Rest of car is stock, can I expect boost creep still?

Hope you plan on getting an access port with the downpipe. You need a tune with an aftermarket downpipe. If it's catless , expect boost creep

Could someone more seasoned than myself, explain how an aftermarket exhaust causes boost creep? Wouldn't a more free-flowing or larger diameter exhaust work in favor of preventing further boost creep? the same way an EWG would?

In the most basic way I can possibly explain it - the wastegate port achieves choked flow and the turbine continues to spool due the additional mass of air needing to go somewhere OTHER than the wastegate.

So I have a 2016 sti and right now my last peak boost was 20.1 psi. I have never experienced any fuel cut out. Does that mean I'm ok because it only peaked quickly to 20psi and not the 3 seconds it needs to cause fuel cut off? Or is it still boost creep even if it peaks quickly?

Great write up, its really helping me out with my research. Quick question, you said that if one of the stock cats was still on the exhaust it would eliminate boost creep. Does this include the cat in the Upipe? or do you mean the downpipe cats? Thanks in advance!
