TSW Nurburgring Gunmetal 18x8.5 -45 offset wrapped in General G-MAX A/S 03 245/45/18

They are snug with no rubbing and absorb the awful MA roads like a champ.

This was right after driving it home. You can imagine what it looks like now..

Thank you! I'll add some pictures to show how flush it is and wheel gap (there's not much).

That's the same as a current sti. And there's tons of people running them. So, yes.

I need a set of winter wheels and was having a hard time finding steelies. I love the look of a Subaru in the snow with steelies

Numbers:

Stock Wheel/Tire:
17x8, +55mm offset, 56.1mm bore, 5x144.3"
235/45 R17 Dunlop SP

Steel Wheel:
17x7, +35mm offset, 72mm bore, 5x4.5" (link)
205/50 R17 General Altimax Arctic (link)

- Outside edge of WHEEL is 0.29" further out from hub face
- Outside edge of TIRE is 0.20" further out from hub face
- Outside diameter of TIRE is 0.26" smaller

I also compared the steel wheel and winter tire combo to various 18" wheel/tire combos on this site, and the steely is smaller in all 3 measurements than most of those. My thinking is that if the steely is (slightly) larger that the stock wheel, but smaller than the 18's people are running, I'm in the window of fitment.

TIA for any help.
The tire/wheel combo wil fit a WRX.
I have a 2015 Impreza 4 Door base sedan and I installed a 225-45/17
on a 17x8 ET35 and it fits just flushed. I think the WRX has a wider fender (?) Here's how my tire look like:
