Anybody have any advice about how to get my computer to install drivers properly and recognize my serial->USB cable? I bought the Bustedfinger converter being too lazy to make my own, but Windows 7 dislikes it.

Following the instructions I just plugged it in and let Windows try to install its drivers. That didn't work so then I tried installing these Prolific drivers they have on their site which you're supposed to use if the Windows 7 ones don't work. Well they don't work either.

Looking for some good driving roads in the south hills... suggestions? Theres a few good turns heading out Mayview rd to Georgetown rd.

Noblestown rd is decent too but not a very long stretch of fun.

head into WV for a good time.

take Route 50 west out of PA. once you cross into WV, turn left onto WV88 heading south. stay on WV88 until it meets up with US-250 and continue on that. this will take you down and around the corner of PA and put you in Hundred, WV. you can then go north and come home on 18 or back track. it's about 200 miles round trip.

Easy trip is just past airport on 376W. Clinton exit. Follow rt 30 W towards Chester, WV. Go at least 3-4 miles and then just turn left or right at any point. Left will take you towards Burgetstown, right will head you towards Hopewell. Always an easy return if you don't have all day.

I'm not sure about that brand of converter. We use either Keyspan or Belkin at work and they both are good with Win 7 drivers from their site. One thing both of them require is you must install the software before you plug the adapter into the USB port. Perhaps going into your add/remove programs and uninstalling anything for that adapter, then install the software after a reboot may make yours work.
