2011 WRX Bi-Xenon Retrofit
When I was looking for the car, I couldn't find a silver Limited 5 door anywhere so I ended up with a Premium without the HID's. I had retrofitted another car in the past with TSX projectors so I went ahead and planned on retrofitting this car as soon as I got it.
Luckily, The Retrofit Source makes a complete plug and play HID retrofit specifically for the WRX. The kit included.
You can find it here. WRX Retrofit Kit The car apart to remove the headlights The projectors installed and on. I also decided to remove the orange reflector in the housing and install some silver bulbs that burn orange. Blue flicker at the cutoff Aligning the lamps Bi-xenon hi-beams (regular hi-beams stay on as well) Overall I am incredibly happy with the system especially given the ease of install once you get the headlights open given the included brackets. There was zero fabrication, just bolt up and go. |

In the little research I have done others have changed their headlight housings to STI housings. You are saying that you got great results without doing this thought, right?

You can do it either way. Putting an eBay HID kit in your halogen projectors is what you want to stay away from. Putting those in halogen reflector housings is even worse... |

He did a proper HID retrofit by disassembling the lights and installing HID projectors in place of the original Halogen ones. I plan to do this in the very near future as well. |

Thank you for not putting in a cheap HID kit!
Edit: at this point, halogen high beams become somewhat useless, no? |

Wow, that's awesome. I'm assuming this will work for the 2.5i as well since it has the same headlight. Totally doing this.

Nice work, I like how it all came out. Are those chrome bulbs as bright as the stock ambers?
I myself did the retro fit with an extra setof headlight housings (i'll have an extra set now). Just gotta wait till I get off work then put them in and get them aligned. Been looking forward to this all week. |

A LED setup on that corner would be the ideal situation, but I didn't want to go to the trouble of installing relays to get them to work correctly. This was an easy solution that looks good enough. |

Op I have a question, Im guessing you could be my only help, TRS really hasnt helped me much. On the wiring, where does this part go connected to, there is only one on the main harness.
Also, Im having a hard time understanding where the projector wires connect for the hi beams;and on the same pic, What connects to what was connected to the halogen lowbeam?. This is my first retrofit BTW Any help will be greatly appreciated!! |

I looked into the LED setup and felt the same way.
How did you tap into the high beam wires? Did you have to strip away some of the insulation or did the provided taps cut right in the wire? |
