Default 04 WRX base map Mod list included

Just had an uppipe and turbo swap completed and I need a base map to limp around with until I can get it down to my tuner.

04 USDM WRX Wagon

COBB Short Ram with Air Box
Turbo XS TMIC (not sure of model, was on the car when purchased)
STi Up-pipe
VF39 from STI
COBB 3" TBE (Catted)

Fuel system is stock still, though there are planned future upgrades, this just needs to be a safe limp map to tool around town in.

The last map with most recent MAF scaling from before the Uppipe/VF39 install https://docs.google.com/file/d/0Bxd4...it?usp=sharing

He works a day job and I need to be able to drive the car around until he's home.

The boost control is still stock, it's on the list of planned upgrades but that may be a ways away still.

stay out of boost and you'll be fine. Set max WGDC to 0% just to be safe (this means you will boost to wastegate pressure of 7-9psi). Existing tune will suffice if you stay out of the throttle.

Thanks, I did notice if I kept out of the throttle I was OK but the second the boost gauge was above dead 0 it started leaning out very quickly so I just shifted and kept off the skinny pedal to limp home until I can tune it.

There's a wideband in the car?

Sounds more like a fuel system shortcoming than a tune related issue if the car was previously tuned for that intake.

Yeah a wideband and gauge so I can monitor while driving. Never noticed it leaning out before with the old turbo, that one usually ran in the 11:1 range, it was also tuned for having the catted uppipe so I'm not sure if that's messing with it at all either.

Without a set of datalogs, its hard to tell. Just be easy on it till your tuner can assess the situation and do what they think is best.

Will do, going to edit the map to crank back the WGDC at least to help with the lean issue, luckily I noticed it pretty quickly and was able to correct my driving style for the time being.
