I'm kind of curious as to how changing just injectors changes that power band and increases peak power... Same boost curve?

The reason I ask is this, another ~25hp and ~200 rpm later spool would be just about right if you were going from a hot 20g to a green sized turbo that needed the tune finished. I take it from this quote he was running the same green turbo during both dyno pulls?

The way I took that:

All I did was change the injectors. On a side note, the car already has/had an FP Green.

I will start out by saying I can remember when Injector Dynamics came out with the "new at the time" Bosch style injector. They absolutely blew everything out of the water in the injector world. Cars were (and still are) able to idle just as good as the OEM set of injectors but also make awesome power. With that said..... Some of you in here are completely clueless with regards to injectors and the PROCESS that Injector Dynamics and other aftermarket injector companies use to modify injectors to present the product they sell. Injector Dynamics DOES NOT manufacture their own injector from scratch.

I think we need to see a few people run these new DPIs and see what the outcome is. We could be presented with a new option that is better than ID. We could also find out they are not better or are worse. Either way some of the responses in here disappoint me since this could be a new product that the whole community could benefit from.

In for more results, if anyone buys a set please post up info

Well put. It's a new option that seems to be working wonderful in my car! Couldn't be happier!

Honestly they only need to be run by a bunch of people to see if their quality control and tolerances are up to snuff. All anyone is really doing with these injectors is putting caps on the tops and maybe the bottoms in order to adapt them to work with current cars intake/head and fuel rails. DW just started carrying EV14's but they sell them un-modded as bought from bosch currently. Five-o does the same thing, and so does FIC.

The injector base does not look like an EV14 to me on the DPI. I could be mistaken but it appears to be a completely different injector which is honestly what has me so interested. Anyone have info supporting this?

They just look like the compact length ones with adapters on both ends rather than just one end like the other brands.

Look at the injector clips.... They look like they are standard OBD II clips. Other places like ID and Five O Motorsports use a different clip. Therefore this is a different injector base.

They look like minitimer, aka EV1 style connectors. And the ID ones look like uscar, aka EV6 style. Five O sometimes makes their own connectors so those of us with nippon denso connectors dont need to use adapters/re-wire.

From what I've heard, Five-0's are garbage. IIRC, Dom at MPS won't tune anything with them.

I still don't understand why people avoid the tried and true methods to save a couple bucks. There's places to do that and there's places not to.

Edit: I happened upon where he stated this.

Just wanted to update everybody the DPI 1000s are working flawlessly! Idle is smooth at 800rpms, drivability is wonderful! Part throttle is perfect.

That was more about that specific size of Five-O injectors and is similar to the problem ID and DW had when they tried to make an injector in between 1000cc and 2000cc. They all pulled those sizes too due to problems but some manufacturers are doing the intermediate sizes again.
