Damn, tires are back ordered 6-8 weeks. Oh well, these are for next summer anyways.

Oh hell yes they were brutal, doesn't help when you are on coilovers and camber plates on all 4 corners. They've seemed to quiet down a lot since they've worn.

Dude, they're not backordered, they're simply not in. Federal told me a shipment is on the way, but city tires online told me they've been saying that for months now (and also that they sell out in a week).

Back ordered, not it, on the boat in the Pacific whatever. I have 6 months of snow ahead of me I'm not too worried.

people are funny in this thread.........point is no one that is driving on the street should push any tire to the point where it's limits start to show.

Now on the track is a differnt story......these tires seem good. I might try them next season......ON THE TRACK.

Sweet, so everyone should be on $50 a/s tires, since we won't be pushing the limits. Better yet, sell the WRX/STi/anything over 120hp, since, you know, it's not needed on the street.

Or maybe a good sticky tire increases my margin of safety in EVERY situation by several times. The 595RSR is apparently the most performance/safety you can get for the least money. I'll take it, you enjoy whatever it is you enjoy.

Default 595rsr

I use 595RSR before and have no complain for its caterory. Amount of grip is awesome. Just one thing to becarefull is there might be crack across the tread even brand new ones after one trackday. Life is valuable.

Psi is less than 38. Send the tyres back to federal factory for them to check. Result is they admit it is their manufacturing defects and reimburse. Few months later found out that quite a few people facing the same problem. Hope they will improve their new batch. Fyi my area is south east Asia.

U feel these are good for daily also?? Been looking at these but was thinking of just the 595 for street and 595rsr for track.

Also debating on size. I have 18x9. Thinking of either 245/35 or 255/35
I know i can fit the 245 without flares but unsure about the 255

Glad to hear these tires are still a "cheaper" alternative...

So after reading all the threads on the 595rsr's I'm considiring pulling the trigger on a set. I know they run a lot wider than other tires, so what size should I get for my set-up? I have an 04 STi, stock suspension, and 17x7.5 Rota grids (same specs as stock bbs). I was originally looking at 235/45R17 in another brand, but I'm thinking either 215/45-17 or 225/45-17. Also, I found them on onlinetires.com for a descent price, any other places I should look to purchase? Thanks for the help.

id put the 225/45 on it...but the 235/45 would give ya a bit better gearing...and it would FIT but it might be a bit squishy

Thanks for the quick reply uncle. I think I'll go with the 225/45.
