Default Phoenix: Weekly AWD Meet pics (Tempe/ASU)

Hi all,

Here are a few pictures from tonight's meet. I know it's only 2 cars, but I'll get to the rest later. I started shooting too early, so I'm sorry for all the glare/harsh lighting. In any case, I hope you like them. More later...

I lived in AZ for some time and even though they do not have salt they have do deal with the sand dust. After washing my car within a few hours it would have a layer of dust over it.

I love arizona. I might as well throw up my favorite shot of my car in here. Seeing as I can't steal any of your glory, Mike.

These pictures were taken w/ my 60mm f/2.8, by far my favorite lens I own. It's not the most versatile lens out there, but the glass is damn sharp and the AF hits perfectly almost every time.

Thanks for the lens info Mike. I'm still using the kit lens from the 400D (its surprisingly good, at least compared to my last kit lens with a film rebel), but I definitely would like something else soon! I'll have to keep in mind the 60mm! Pictures look fantastic!

Not a problem. Here are a couple more. The first shot is just a quick walkaround one I took of my car, and the second one shows another example of why I love this lens so much... really sharp and nice bokeh. I was shaking quite a bit, too, since I had a big coffee before hitting this meet.
