Lightbulb defi water temp & oil temp - suggestions/help on install please

this might be a long post, but would most appreciate if you can add input. search results did not yield the answer i was looking for.

so i currently have a triple defi setup in process. i currently have the boost and water temp gauges on hand. the defi pod and oil temp are on the way. i've received a lot of help from another iwsti member RUshaved, but additional input is always good. sidenote: all the electrical wiring inside the car is done, its just all the sensor attachment stuff that i don't want to mess up.

first off, this is my first "turbo" vehicle, i don't know how a boost meter should work. should i be hitting max psi in all the gears (1st thru 6th)? i only seem to hit max in 4th thru 6th. and in 3rd i hit about 8-10psi only.

second, water temp sensor placement: should i place it in the primary radiator hose or between the the turbo and the resevoir?

i would rather put it near the turbo like in the picture so i don't have to get an extension wire (which would cost me another 50$). but i'd feel iffy if putting a tee between here would substantially limit the coolant flow to the turbo. although an accurate reading of the coolant temp to the turbo would be nice. also, i remember reading somewhere that when doing this, i have to bleed the entire cooling system b/c i introduced air in the tubes. is this right? would i need to drain out any of the coolant when cutting the tubes? hopefully i can buy another section of the tube so i wouldn't need to cut it. so i know a place that sells the inline radiator sensor attachement (steigerperformance), but could not find a place that sold the 1/4, 1/4, 1/8NPT fitting for the attachment between the turbo and resevoir. according to (projectwrx/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=17) projectwrx, i can "Using a 1/4" barb - 1/4" barb to 1/8" NPT tee from Summit Racing, you can tap the sender into the water line feeding the turbo charger." (summitracing) i tried searching the website for 30 mins and could not come up with it. can some of you try either that website or know of another where i can get the 1/4"barb - 1/4" barb - 1/8NPT fitting?

lastly, is the oil temp sensor placement. the gallery plug beneath the i/c is the best place for an oil temp reading? i was told to get this subaru part #11024AA210 which is the gallery plug that allows a 1/8PT connection. (rallysportdirect/shop/product_info.php/cPath/59_60_315/products_id/737?osCsid=28be1e2374858855c6e3299809964d33) with that, would i need to get the defi oil 1/8PT sensor (another 50$ or so) or can a conversion socket be used here?

thanks a lot for all the help. btw, i bought some light grain black vinyl at a local fabric shop and some 3M vinyl spray adhesive, hopefully i can wrap the defi pod and make it look nice. i'll keep you guys posted. thanks for reading it this far!

summary of questions (from post):
should i be hitting max psi in all the gears (1st thru 6th)?
should i place it in the primary radiator hose or between the the turbo and the resevoir?
would i need to drain out any of the coolant when cutting the pipes?
can some of you try either that website or know of another where i can get the 1/4"barb - 1/4" barb - 1/8NPT fitting?
the gallery plug beneath the i/c is the best place for an oil temp reading?
would i need to get the defi oil 1/8PT sensor (another 50$ or so) or can a conversion socket be used here?

I think your thoughts are very reasonable, they are just a PIA to get too....

This is a pic of the Subaru original parts, you should be able to make out where the water temp and oil temp/pressure connections are from the components supplied.

Sandwich plate between filter and block for oil, top hose for water temp, turbo not sure.
