You said Dallas but I see a lot of Fort Worth.
If I go out for BBQ I like Hard 8, Angelos, Cassstevens (gas station in Lillian) and Hammonds in Glen Rose.

Other than that if it is planned I would rather cook it myself.

Rode the motorcycle down to CassStevens yesterday. Had a chopped beef sandwich and it was pretty good. Generous portion. I can't say that I was blown away but I would hit it up again.

Yeah it is just one of those surprises. Good BBQ at a gas station? Nice roads out that way to cruise. I prefer the sliced brisket but that place has been there for a long long time, maybe like 30 years or more.

Does Bill Miller's put turkey in their sausage? Dickey's is an abomination of BBQ.

Ok, went to Soulman's BBQ last week. High expectations. Fell flat. On first visit, I always get the chopped beef sandwich with sides. Soulman's sandwich was good, sauce was excellent, fried okra was fair and the cole slaw was God aweful. Wife got same but with green beans that were low on taste. I could make same from frozen bag.

No spicy bbq sauce.

Still rating Mike Anderson's and Dickey's above all. I'll keep going to other places and try it out.

Still can't figure the hatred you guys have for Dickey's.

When you eat a BBQ sandwich what do you taste the most, Sauce or Meat?
