So, today I was working on getting some of my wiring bs in order and I looked under the car and noticed the trans was no longer solidly bolted to the tranny cross member.... wtf! Probably why the trans felt a little funny yesterday... Fixed that problem with some thread lock and factory nuts. This stuff just drives me crazy.
Anyway, does anyone have a factory 6 disc CD changer that will work in my 02 car?? The only part I did not upgrade or change over the past 7 years decides to stop playing cd's. pos. Anyway, please let me know b/c I'd like to have it before I drive up to Carlisle this weekend!! |

It's just a figure of speech. I just don't think open dump is gayness. Power to noise ratio, remember!? Nothing like rolling up next to a Harley rumbling through a tunnel and over noising him!

picked up like 20ft lbs EVERYWHERE on the honda with the new rough tuned ECU!! but no vtec!!! wtf! it's just as fast now without the big cams as it was with them before! and SOOO much smoother! now to troubleshoot it and then datalog some daily miles.. yes i have 2 ecus wired in. only one plugged in at a time tho.
btw, this is how i expect to tune the GF someday not too far off in the future.. romraider tuned GD ecu wired in like i have the obd2 ecu wired in(but obd2 ecu on honda isn't tunable, only obd1 is) the heart of the problems stem from FALSE INFO in internet wiring diagrams! dont' believe them! A SSHOLES!! |

OMG I think this has been the worst 24hrs for me at work ever!!! Well over 20 cases in the OR on a SUNDAY, even had one death in there... That's another story.
So on my day off tomorrow (Monday) I'm splitting some firewood. I'll give it away to anyone here if interested, but need to be rid of it very soon. Lemme know if interested. |

No, that was the last wreck. i was just reminiscing through some old posts. but that picture was never posted here so I figured some would find that interesting. that picture was probably taken about a month after we were there last.

went over the whole wiring harness last night. didn't take long. just threw in the obd2 ecu to double test that it wasn't wiring. turns out it was the ecu. missing a jumper. again. internet instructions FTL. just cross-referenced the vtec schematic provided with the conversion kit and a stock vtec ecus. took ~ 5 mins. just takes an above average level of skepticism. fried my 02 sensor heater circuit believing that. oh well, just turned it of in software till i can get a replacement transistor. haha, the MS3, is an EXCELLENT car, and who cares if it's FWD?
RWD nazis? i mean, it would ONLY be better if it was RWD, but really.. it will post times at even autoX(which is worse for a heavy ass and tall fwd car like the ms3) similar to stock STis!!!! there's ~200 lbs to be lost on it and ~50 simple Hp to free up. MS3 is incredible! |

Can it. FWD sucks. There is more to life than autox. FWDS sucks for launching a car and YAY ! for plowing your way through turns.... just YAY !!! MS3 is as incredible as a front wheel drive car can be. |

HEY, i'm not all about autox! i'm about giving UP some of that pure speed in exchange for more fun and control! was jsut saying that you dont' need awd to be fast. it is just great in low traction situations where you want to go fast(which is dumb if you think about it, unless you're racing on dirt or snow, and how often are we doing that?)
oh yeah Vern. your hemi mopar would've been at least as fast as your wrx any day of the week(that the carb was tuned for, LOL!) and not just in a straight line! IF it had current tire technology and spring and roll rates commensurate with a current tire's grip(which is only fair). seriously. no geometry changes, just tires, dampers, spring and bar tuning and an alignment. nothing else. can even keep the same width and offsets of the 15s, because CURRENT tire technology is really only on 17-18" wheels. now if you actually filled out those big wheel wells full of modern rubber, and changed the geometry slightly to take advantage of it, i dont think the wrx has a chance. solid axle be damned. there's a drag racing series, you have to use stock hard parts in the engine but you can use modern 10" slicks. they're all doing 10s and 11s. nostalgia drags or something. there's another series, where you ahve to LOOK bone stock, engine, manifolds and all! on modern repro looking G70s on stock wheels or something, they're IN THE FRIGGIN 9S!!!! it's ridiculous! there is NOTHING NEW in cars except electonic control and metalurgical improvements since the early early 1900s. variable valve timing and dohc with 4 valves a cylinder? yeah they had it. forced induction and fuel injection? yeah. it was mechanical, but still worked. and on and on and on. |

Jason, I'm not sure I have the gear oil for you. I think I have about 7 quarts left, but I'm not even sure on that, and Erik (BoozeRS) has been threating to pick it up off me for like 2 months, but can never match schedules, I'm goign to give him a ring today and see whats up. I'll let you know by tomorrow what the status is.
