with all the money you've spent, why didn't you switch to 5x114.3?

5x114.3 > 5x100

opens doors to a wider range of wheel fitments. more wheels to buy, and wheels would be easier to sell. plus i'm sure he could keep the motivs even with the 5x114.3.

Wow.. Reason I didnt go with the 5x114.3 is I have had a 5spd andrewtech ppg box... I DO wish I would ahve gone 114 Just because of the wheel selection.. trust me, however.. Originality, everyone switches to 114.3.. I also didnt want to eat the cost of the andrewtech box, switching to a 6spd. etc.. so Cusco front/Rear Diffs. w/driveshaft shop axles will have to work for now

You can do the 5x114.3 hub swap and keep your ppg 5mt, thats what I did. You just need a r180 rear. Pretty simple swap really. Besides not "everyone" switches to 114.3 theres only a handfull that are not track cars with the swap and even fewer with 5mts swapped.

Very true, I paid $3500 Canadian shipped for a full jdm ver8 dccd 6 speed over a year ago and kept 5x100, but was now able to run my rear brembo's.

Slightly OT but I NEED to know, what rear diff ratio (in the R180) did you use? What year 5 speed is it/what front ratio? I want to convert to an R180 rear end but I'm not sure what ratio's are available so I can keep my 06 WRX 5 speed. PM me if you like, so the thread doesn't wander off topic. Thanks.

Chris.
