Full Race 416 E85 fuel pump installed.
Made a power steering hose bracket to hold the lines off the paint. Used blue silicone vac lines for everything to match all the other hoses. Routed the radiator hoses for the Vmount with a full cap. |

So the next big challenge I had was how to tension my alternator belt. This is what I came up with.
First I got a belt that was a close fit. Second I got a straight piece of steel and made a bunch of funny bends and ground down some spots till it fit the way I wanted. Third I put a sharpie in the mounting hole on the alternator and pivoted it up and down to show me where in needed to cut. Then I cut out where the sharpie marked and put a bolt in to check fitment. After that I painted the bracket and used a pry bar to push up the alternator till the belt was tight then I tightened up the bolt. |

^^ I was wondering about that with a rotated manifold. Nice fix for the tensioner.

WTF dude, I swear every time I check your updates the build goes up one more level of awesome. This sets a ridiculously high bar for attention oriented detail work.

It's not actually rich. I'm running E85 and it's leaned out to 14s AFRs during cruise. When I get on it hard it runs a little rich but thats just due to E85.
Got a good deal on it and it stiffens up the car quite a bit. Also anything 11.49s and under 1/4 mile times require a cage by the NHRA which I hope to do. |
