Default Wiring harness removal question.

Hello all,
I've searched and couldn't find any info on this but I'm doing an 02 wrx to 04 sti swap right now and I'm in the middle of switching harnesses. If anyone knows if it's possible and how to remove the bridge of wires in the center of the dash behind the blower passage without cutting them or removing the AC lines or could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. I have an image but I can't upload it for some reason so I will try figure that out ASAP too.

You can unbolt the box from the dash and finagle the wires past everything. Might just be worth your time to disconnect and then have the system serviced.

I'll try give it a little wiggling and spend some more time on it. Where do the AC lines go once they're in the cabin?

I spoke to a Subaru mechanic and he said the a/c had to be discharged as there is electrical lines to the evaporator but I can't see them back there so I'm not sure if I believe them. Has anyone removed these wires without draining the a/c.

Bumping from the dead and doing a little hijacking

I'm in the same predicament. Sort of. I am pulling the harness out of my 02 WRX. I was in an accident and totaled it I am at the point where I need to get that bridge of wires out. Is it really possible to fanagle them out without removing the blower unit? If so, god damn, that's gonna be a tight squeeze!

I don't care about breaking the seal in the AC system. I might do it anyways. But, is there a disconnect for the AC system? There looks to be a bolt that might hold the engine compartment AC manifold to the cabin AC manifold, but I won't know until I unbolt it.

Thanks!
