Open your current flash and turn up the boost a little. Log for fuel and timing to be sure its ok, which it should be. Bam stage 1.

Also, what do you define as stage 1?

When I ran COBB's Stage one I had:

UpPipe
UD pulleys
samco Y pipe
GP moto inlet
and a Helper spring
And way back in the day Vaus showed us all how to adjust wastegate preload on a TDO4.

Anyway, I would just do a log before as well to make sure you are not seeing any FLKC or FBKC as is.

Most people consider the minumum requirements for a Stage2 flash to be a catless uppipe and a downpipe. A good cat back is needed to see the full benefits, though. That being the case, without those parts, you're stage 1.

I consider Stage 1 an updated map for a stock vehicle.

Stage 2 is when you start throwing parts at it with at least a more free flowing downpipe.

Most people think that just the downpipe is needed for stage 2, but I'll never flash a stage 2 map to a car that still has a cat in the uppipe as a safety thing.

To answer your question, I've searched and searched and they only provide a Stage 2 map so far for 02-07 WRX's (from XPT)

Assuming you are talking about free maps, here you go:

http://www.osecuroms.org/viewtopic.p...b34b4cf2f3d7d2

I played around with this map, and regardless of the "91 octane" claim, it was a detonation nightmare even with 92 octane. It truly knocks everywhere. Lots of low rpm, part throttle boost, so it feels very punchy. Then you log and see the IAM and knock correction values and get very nervous about hitting the gas.

I'd give Jaxscuby or one of the other tuners here a shot unless you are really up for tweaking this map on your own. It is NOT good to go.

u could try the above map and pull a degree out of the adv timing map. being in HI robtmc it could be that ur intake temps r alot higher than where the map originally was made.

Are you referring to adjusting the wg arm? This is a nono... Adjusting wg preload is not how you tune boost.

Hawaii temps where I live are usually no more than mid-80's. SoCal has hotter temps in the summer than here.

It will take more than a degree to tame this map. This is a pic of the spreadsheet I used to compare the original map timing and where I was at the time trying to get rid of knock. This is not a minor tweak. I gave up on the thing. The red is degrees pulled from the original, and this is on a higher octane than supposedly developed for:

FWIW, that was with a gutted up-pipe, silicon intercooler hoses, all else stock.
