Default HR. Got another ticket. Calibration...???

In my Grand Prix since I had complete control over the PCM, I could simply go in there and change the speedometer readings, get the car calibrated and then change it back. Is there software around for the WRX that makes this possible?

I know just "slowing down" would cure this problem... but it's a bit late for that. Any suggestions?

I'm certainly NOT trying to burn any bridges or start **** with anyone on the boards.... but it kinda comes across like there are a ton of "wholier than thou" type people around here. If I understand everyone correctly... people drop thousands upon thousands of dollars into their cars to make it faster and handle better and yet ONLY push the car at all on closed tracks. NEVER on public roads because that is entirely to irresponsible and more importantly, against the law..... although.... I do believe ANY aftermarket exhaust what so ever is actually against the law and by putting one on your car you are therfore not a law abiding citizen and all your rights as a being should permanently be stripped .

-end rant.

but there is a difference in putting an exhaust on your car that yes there is a law that says you cant, however there is another law that says you can "Great Commonwealth State".
However putting a clearly visable exhaust on your car is entirely different that pre-meditatingly trying to manipulate findings to get out of a wrong doing in the first place.

I speed, i mod my car...and I am damn ready and willing to take responsibility for my actions.

You see as you state in your caption..."Another ticket" shows us that you understand the consequences of speeding, got caught not once but twice, and instead of slowing down you intend to beat the system so that you can continue to speed.

Sorry I feel the need to flame you just as I got flamed before...I guess what goes around comes around. I wouldnt be saying this if I didnt believe it. I have had 3 WRX's and 1 Legacy GT LTD and I havent gotten one ticket since 2001 for speeding. Yes I got tickets for exhaust and disrespecting a police officer however those were my actions and I took responsibility and yes got a lawyer and got off both because the cop singled me out, profiled me, and did screwed up by giving a false probable cause to pull me over.

Take responsibility and you never know what could happen, you might get a break.

can't prepay.... I'm going to have to get a lawyer. I understand completely what you are saying. I have been "in the system" for a great part of my life and have found in my experience, in the court of law, being honest, truthful and upfront doesn't help in most cases. I mean hell... your insurance company... they even tell you NEVER to admit it was your fault in an accident. VA will screw you every chance they get... why not screw them back or atleast attempt to. Va has made drinking and driving laws quite a bit more strict in the last year or so (which I have no problem with).... when they did that.... they opened up the ABC stores longer hours and opened them on Sunday. If I can get over on them... sorry, I will.

Once you've gone fast on a track... your desire to do it on public roads shrinks quickly. You can't push hard enough on a public road to learn anything worthwhile, IMHO.

But if you got a ticket for doing 15 over or something, that's speeding, that's not "pushing the car". Anyone with a stock-suspension Pep-Boy-special-tire-wearing Tercel can do 80 mph.

*shrug*
