04STi Speed Density Map
OK....I know Romraider used to have the link but cant find any maps anywhere that are free for opensource. Lookin for a speed density map for my 04 STi. Everybodies got it but me lol..........I really don't wanna pay a $15 donation to get access to the file if I don't have to. Some one be a Nasioc pal of the day and post up a speed density rom from a 04 STi please!!!!! ECU A2ZJ700J

^^^^Absolutely............if the folks who made this possible wanted to charge for this map........perhaps they shouldn't have released it for free and then later offer the map only with a donation.
Perhaps ill have you over for supper tonite............bring a donation dick!!~ |

You're something else...maybe they needed beta testers to verify it worked before asking for a donation? Maybe the implementation/maintenance of that project was more than they anticipated and would like slight monetary compensation. Either way, it's their right to do so. You know you're asking for help in stealing from someone, right? I would hope that you would have no problem with someone stealing from you, considering your attitude here... |

While the maps were free before, people still donated. After I got the map up and running on my car and saw how well it was working, I donated $50 to the developer in appreciation.
It would be nice to be able to try out the map before having to pay for it (like the early adopters did), but $15 is pocket change and shouldn't really matter. |

^^I agree eggroll............but where I am.....in todays economy......I don't have even $15 to offer. Now like you said, if all works well ....well I would be inclined to donate for sure, no problem there.I would obviously make arrangments to do so. Ive donated chump change before for maps and always had issues with missing definitions and so forth. As why im hesitant to pay for a map today. And as far as the "stealing". Subaru didn't give us the option to read roms and flash there ecus did they? Nope....sure didn't...some geniuses figured out the kernel handshake and all that jazz to basically break into the ecu. Kinda like putting a lock on something and some smartass figures out how to pick it with a special key then offers the key for sale for 15 bucks :/ lol don't think you as well as everybody else on here runnin opensource isn't stealing from somebody. Geez smh

Just to clear things up... The 2004 USDM STi SD mod and all other 'gratis' mods that have been released have always been released free of charge, and I have no plans to change that.

Sharp Tune is the same stuff/person on RR... I believe he switched all to his site to keep it better contained. And as for "most folks," you are highly mistaken!! Most folks on here are just like you and work hard to pay for what they have- especially those in this forum subsection!

paidfor you need to get your priorities straight and stop being a douche and looking for handouts. either do the work yourself, pay up, or be grateful when people donate countless hours!

Anybody else think its hilarious that a guy with the screen name "paidfor". Wants maps that he doesn't have to "pay for"

Why pay for it when its free?
Besides....after trying the patch, its not really got anything im gonna use daily. Its too destructive. I removed the patch as I feel its too damaging to the engine, constantly pulls timing and boost under launch and is just too much of a headache for me (shrug). Really glad I didn't waste 15 bucks or so Ill stay with not dropping the clutch at 5500 rpms while knocking and flaming hot EGTs. Not worth the .5 sec launch improvement for a busted drivetrain. Now proEfi has some pretty cool **** out now ... a much safer alteranative than using the stock ecu for timing retard during launch/antilag. More than a little patch. true, it cost money but is something I am extremely interested in. You guys can have the "please gimmie a donation" patches thatll blow your piston rings off. Ill save up and pay for a proper to safely and aggressively control launching. I hope someone didn't expect a gratuity for a halfass patch...dick |

I dont see you trying to improve anything! If you think you can do better, let's see it! I guarantee you have NO clue how the coding or logic of an ECU works. Or even any knowledge that would give you authority to say what you did. People like you make me NOT want to define definitions and logic in the ECU |

News flash: tunes may need adjustment to suit your own vehicle. One size does not fit all.

Lol...no no, I don't think I can do it better . I mentioned that others like proEfi can obviously "do it better" for lack of words. Nobodies knockin your precious Merp there Blaze.....im sure hes got some really cool stuff too O also...I wasn't aware that you had a hand in finding definitions in my ecu . My hats off to ya brother .) although taking the credit for finding something just doesn't quite have the bearing as creating it from scratch huh? I bet theres some Fuji someone or another at Subaru now wishin he could kick guys asses like yours for exploiting there time and knowledge of defining definitions and logic for ecu operation so we could all get a kick out of tuning our cars. The correct method is not with "finding this or that definition". Its gonna have to be a reliable program. Open source ,Romraider and Ecuflash just aren't gonna cut it. Standalone is the only way to have complete control or our ecu and logic. Companys provide this already and are improving it daily...these guys have unlimited resources to gather the information that makes there products reliable and impressive. Not some newfound def or poorly created patch. NOT some guy hacking codes in his basement . No thanks
