Who has the Rallispec light bar. If you do you, do have pics of it on your car. I would like to see what it looks like. Thanks, RallyeX

I really like the light bar, but I wanted to find out if there is a brush guard for the impreza? That way you could put the xtra lights on, AND have the extra protection against crap while off-roading (that and it looks super mean). If anyone has pictures and site url's of either the rallispec one or brush guards, it would be greatly appreciated.

I think that was a Rallispec unit as well. I'm not 100% so don't kill me if I'm wrong. I only got a glance at it from about 50ft away and it looked like the Rallispec bar.

Hmmmmmm... don't they have something with more lights on it? I don't think that'd be enough (yeah right, it'd be enough to make SUV drivers cringe).

SUVs cringe is right! Rallispec was nice enought to let me test out the prototype light bar last year for a rally. While I was out one night before the rally tring to aim them up I saw some lights coming around the corner. Before he came around I had the lights and highbeams switched off already. Well the nice guy in the SUV still had his highs on. I gave hime the benifit of the doubt for a few seconds but I had to let him know... So I flash the highbeams at him (the Hellas were wired in with the highs) Well he got the point real fast, and I only had Hella 500's mounted.
There is a pic in the members section under Tony Powell, Pennsylvannia, of my car halfway through the rally and you can see the prototype bar on the front. They changed the under side mounting style. Now I believe it uses two round tubes that come up from the bottom instead of the square tubes in my pic. The new one also has a mini skid plate between the lower supports. As for light placement, Rallispec just welds on the mounting tabs you need for the arrangement you want. Tony [This message has been edited by Tony (edited June 06, 2000).] |

The guy with the blue RS with gold light bar has a website somewhere. If you start searching for Alcan 5000 sites, you will probably find his site. It's called the Adventure Site or something like that.
Anyway, I believe the gold light bar is just the factory brush guard from a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have no idea how it's mounted. JD Edit: Website: http://www.jwg.org/ [This message has been edited by Dobes (edited June 06, 2000).] |
