Does this require you to remove the intake manifold on the 07 STI?

No, it does not. To properly remove the solenoid all together, you need to remove the TMIC, but that's about it. However many leave the solenoid mounted and it's electrial connector plugged in since it has the barometric pressure sensor in there. I opted the cut mine off, and removed the solenoid.

Upon inspection of the valve connector, I don't have any broken pins. My AP is measuring about 7psi barometric pressure with sensor connected and 21.8psi barometric pressure with sensor disconnected. I presume that because I am not seeing 14-15psi it is a faulty sensor. northman - if you are still watching this thread, will you give my logic a once over and let me know if you think I need a new sensor (which means a new valve)? |

A little something to add to the instructional library...
I searched this thread, and came up negative for "video" and "youtube", so this looks like it's new to the thread. My apologize if it's been posted before. |

It was a faulty sensor in the valve. A new valve solved the problem. Barometric pressure now reads 14.7psi. For a 2007, the SOA part number for the valve with the sensor is 14864AA020. Last edited by Zebe; 02-13-2013 at 09:18 PM. Reason: adding stuff |

Hello all, So my LH Combi valve is stuck open and I dont want to replace it. In short my question is, Instead of installing the block off plate for the LH combi valve on the head or in between the pipe and valve, can I just use some high temp epoxy and plug the Inlet on the valve?

For some reason i dont think KSTech lists the PN on their website. Im not sure if anyone else manufactures them but I recall only seeing the KStech one when I was looking for them.

Bolt spacing is not the same you have to alter it for passenger side, yes---------I have a drill press but if there is an OEM part that respects the bolt pattern then I will get the one I don't have to modify.
I give up, I will ask the parts guy for the PN. |

Nope, there is a driver's side and a passenger side, the one I am looking for is below comes in the 2007 STi, the one you are referring to is from the Tribeca 14754aa050.
There is two different OEM block plates for driver's and passenger's side, I need the PN for the 2007 STi, pictured below. Therefore, there is no need to do this: Last edited by V8 GTFO Lesbic WGN; 03-12-2013 at 11:21 PM. |
