So let me ask the people who have been waiting a while or have already picked up their orders. What was the hardest part of the wait for you? I ordered 3/2, so it hasn't even been a week yet and I'm going nuts. It feels like a perpetual Christmas Eve when you are a kid and time just seems to stop! Can someone assure me that the first week or two is the hardest and then it kinda just slips back in your mind a bit and the wait just becomes normal?

The funny thing is that I really wasn't in much of a rush, but now that my order is in I just want it.

That's how it was for me... So I just started staying busy at work and home. Every 2-3 weeks I'd call and check on her but it calms after you realize you still have 3 months to go... Until you get your vin

Make sure you do all the steps especially the one where you have to press the smart/learn buttons on your garage motor unit and press & hold the desired homelink button. For me after all that done I have to press & hold the homelink buttons for about 3 seconds once or twice to get it to work. Just follow the instructions closely and you'll get it.

I'm a week in and I just pretend I never ordered it. It's been working well so far.

^^^This.

The first week or 2 I was going crazy, but then I settled in. I call my dealer about every 2 weeks to check in and he usually tells me he doesn't have anything new for me.

Then after about 4 weeks I started ordering parts lol. I have a pretty nice parts pile going so far. My car is gonna be modded as soon as it gets here haha.

The last week is the hardest. And in that week, every day gets harder than the one before it. Every night you have a dream that somehow involves your new Subie. Then the universe starts taunting you, and you start seeing Subaru's EVERYWHERE. You don't get any work done, and the night before you pick up your car you'll be lucky to manage 2 or 3 hours of sleep.

Then you pick her up, hear that rumble, and all is right with the world. You drive around fora few hours, then sleep like an effing baby for the first time in at least a week.

Hang in there, bud.

Default MSRP or INVOICE

The Invoice number they will show you and the MSRP are only about $1300 apart. When I got my 2012 STi they showed me invoice right away and were almost too happy to take me down to it before negotiations could happen.

I just spent the last 2 hours reading through the 2012 order thread. Particularly the April thru July threads. It seams that most of the June and July deliveries and a few that weren't fulfilled were for orders placed in mid April or later. Hopefully that means that my early March order will be delivered in May or early June. Not sure how Limited/Premium/Base were distributed time wise though.

I kept checking all my local dealerships to see if one had come in. There was one "in transit" and I decided to purchase it before being able to even test drive it. (First subaru, so it was a risky decision). Now that it's here, I love it. Waiting for it to come in was definitely the hardest part, but it will make you love it that much more!

In week 7.
ETA May, feels like forever. I'm getting sick of borrowing a car to get around. Thank God for carpooling to work.
