Default Torqued Performance Stage 1 vs Stage 3 Dyno

I installed a bunch of goodies on my 13 WRX Sedan today to take her from TP Stage 1 to Stage 3. Figured I would just skip Stage 2. The difference is very noticeable. I also wanted to give props to Eric at Torqued Performance. He's been AWESOME since day one. Always very accessible, responsive and take the time to answer all my newbie questions. I've modded a bunch of cars in the past but this is my first WRX.

Here is the dyno comparison between stage 1 and 3. Stage 1 I had an AEM intake and a stage 1 tune. Stage 3 includes AEM CAI, Precision One TMIC, Cobb DP, Invidia Q300 exhaust, and Grimmspeed EBS. Let me know what you guys think. I am very happy with the results. May need to lean her out a bit but the torque is insane.

UPDATED CORRECT DYNO FILE:

torque looks like fun, i just don't like how the power drops off by redline. You're making less power at max rpm than your stage 1?

Where do you see this?
The only way this could be better would be to have a stage 2 pull also! Awesome nonetheless

The torqued performance stage 3 includes a aftermarket intercooler and a ebcs along with your downpipe.

I guess it depends how you look at it. TP defines stage 1 as the initial tune, stage 2 includes the downpipe, and stage 3 the intercooler and boost solenoid. Final step would be a bigger turbo. Either way you define it I am very happy with the results.

Did you have to do injectors or fuel pump? I was looking to go a similar route.

numbers look low.... I know Eric does good work, but something seems off...
Might want to add in passenger weight on top of vehicle weight.

Going from the stock tune to TP stage 3 next Saturday!

I should be able to get it on a real dyno in May too.

Whoa.....
With mods, you are putting the stock map on and driving aggressively/making dyno pulls for comparo purposes? Please tell me I'm not understanding this correctly...

Everything up through the T6 has been installed.

Everything from the Grimmspeed Pulley to the PST driveshaft is getting installed April 6th.

I will the have the virtual dyno data from the stock tune next week, the stage III tune next weekend, and eventually a real dyno in May.

reading owns me... I read your post and thought you were the OP and flashing the stock map on to do a comparo based on tune. I'm an idiot... lol

It's the name of the tune provided by Eric Minehart with Torqued Performance

Finally tuned! Went from stock to Stage III today after 8 hrs behind the wrench & laptop. Haven't revised the map yet, and I'm only hitting 18.2 psi for some reason, but it's already an absolute beast right now. Punching it in 1st is practically pointless because of how quickly you run out of gear lol. 4th gear driveability / low end torque is phenomenal; you can finally putt along through towns and still accelerate hard when you need to. Gas mileage seems to be waaay up too from all of the restrictions that were removed. Crank pulley has made 4th to 3rd downshifts a lot easier / smoother. PTP Lava turbo blanket is going back on next week, and will drop the spool time tremendously, (I've had it on before).

Here's a rough virtual dyno comparison. Most of the pulls before and after were in this range. (Definitely something to be taken with a grain of salt but... it sure feels about right.)

I think you are right. I must have loaded Stage 1 vs Stage 2. Here is my stage 3 run:

Looks very nice. Here is my base vs Torqued Performance Stage III just as a comparison. Very similar results:

Injectors, fuel pump and wide band are on order. Going for the E85 conversion and a 93 octane tune for road trips. Can't wait!

I'm on my 2nd revision from Eric....

I had some minor knock, and I wasn't hitting target boost, so Eric revised the tune and dialed in the wastegate and I was hitting 20psi every time, but still a tiny bit of knock. (No virtual dyno to show for it)

2nd revision, no LFKC, only a little bit of FBKC, boost is back down to 18.43 psi, (and I have no idea why...) but it's still insanely fast. I think my studded snows are almost breaking loose in 3rd!

Here's a comparison of the stock tune, stage III & Rev 2, quite a bit more area under the curve in the revision 2 (hills MUST have played into that...), with smoother boost (I also corrected for temp & turned the smoothing up to 6):

Looks like you logged the wrong boost parameter, which tops out at 18.4psi. The correct one is Manifold Relative Pressure Corrected

Thank you! I definitely did. Maybe it is an accurate comparison then.
