Default New exhaust idea for all BE/BH owners... please read

so i was under my car today and i was looking at the exhaust. i thought to my self... why does my cars exhaust curve around that rear diff thing? all the other subys dont have them around the rear diff. so why us? the RS's dont... there catback almost has no bends in it.

i cant find a good pic at the time... but look at the rear diff

http://www.auto-creations.net/images/wrx_exhaust_large.png

it has nothing on either side but our BE/BH has this bracket looking thing in the middle of the rear diff that our exhaust goes around it.

what would happen if you take that thing off? if we did now we can make easyier custom exhaust and maybe fit some impreza exhausts on, with little mods to the hangers.

sorry if it seems like a stupid idea... i am bored as hell and i was thinking about it. please dont flame

Yeah, you can use the WRX/STi catback with some minor modification. The biggest one is repositioning the muffler mounts to the BE/BH position.
