I guess the guy in the other thread got a Saab for free then. I'll have a fully loaded Aero 9-5 AWD (when it's ready)

Wouldn't they be standing behind their product more if they would give free saabs to people whose car DIDN'T last 1,000,000 miles?

The cost of refueling a car for 1,000,000 miles costs three times as much as the new car would, not including service/maintenance...

I wonder if the Saabarus will pull 1'000,000 miles ... if so, I'd demand a 2015 STi Version XXV

This will be easy for them to fund as the publicity is great and the cost will be low. (not many million mile SAABS I'd wager.)

12 owners here more than 1/2 way to the goal. Although some are foreign and who knows if they were purchased new.

A million miles in 17 years is:
58,823 per year approximately. Now assuming that was at 22MPG that would be 2673 gallons. if he had a smart car it would be: 60MPG - 980 gallons. 1693 gallons less. Say 2 dollars a gallon average over the last 17 years. $3386.00 Smart is diesel too so that would have atleast a 10% varience. $3724.00 x 17 = $63308 savings. Plus cheaper insurance, easier parking, less pollution tax, You could even cut your parking costs in half by sharing one spot with someone else with another smart. |

I can't imagine there's another Saab owner that meets those requirements, or can do so by the end of 2007.

there is a time limit? I would think that this would be a thing that just goes forever and is used twice a decade. Good press and almost no cost.

Funny...because when the news first broke, they weren't even going to give him a t-shirt. Musta decided they didn't like the bad pub.
