Default Those with MRT FMIC installed please look...

I want to get a concrete answer on whether the stock WRX battery works (clears) with the IC piping going through the drivers side front.

I have been told that it should work with the stock battery,
I have also heard that it will not clear with the stock battery.

I need to clear this up from people who have already installed this on their WRX.

And if you did end up with an aftermarket battery please list the make, and model of your new battery.

thanks

GDA

Try it and see, most I have seen run a stock battery, I have custom pipes and sit an odyssey 600 under the passenger seat, this works great.

Stock battery is what im hoping works. But just want to make sure that in the "real world" the stock battery lets teh IC piping clear for the FMIC.

keep it comin,

Check out the under-hood pics of Pam's car here. Looks like the stock battery in there to me with the MRT FMIC. I'm currently debating this myself with my MRT FMIC sitting in a box on the floor next to me, because the pipe didn't look like it wanted to get in there with my aftermarket battery that's 3/4" wider than stock. I'm going to relocate my battery to the trunk and/or buy a smaller aftermarket battery, because my stereo needs power.

I know this is kinda redundant now but you could have asked MRT directly

PLAYER,

A bit OT but was wondering, did you have any "venting" or similar such concerns, with putting the battery right there inside the vehicle where people sit?

There is no way the stock battery will fit without the modify ! the black wrx with MRT FMIC show the pic above, thats with modify the MRT piping, In my case, I just order a performace racing battery with smaller size !or relocate the battery to the trunk !

well the distributors, dealers, and instructions say/tell that the stock battery should work, so thats why i want to get some answers from people that installed them in the same fashion.

Ok so the ISR WRX has modified piping huh?
