My 08 wrx was 160 a month even as a 26 year old. Getting a house and multi car made it way cheaper ( 180 a month for wrx and 09 Sentra plus my homeowners insurance) . Check with an independent agent who works with multiple companies. They can compare across a bunch of different places and get a Better deal then just going straight to geico/ allstate / progressive etc

I'm pretty jealous of my friend. 1200 for a year for an 08 and he's 22 and under his own insurance.. That's 100 a month..

I have NJM
I think around $1000 a year on NJM, mom listed as primary. When shopping around, other companies just told us flat out that they can't compete with NJM prices...oh and I'm 21, perfect driving record (probably won't last) and a girl (might affect $)...'12 wrx limited

20 years old, have a 2012 wrx and pay 133 a month under my own plan with full coverage and low deductibles with Geico. Was paying almost 300 a month with State Farm under my parents insurance with a big deductible

I'm looking into going on my own. What kinda deductibles are you guys using? Coverage amounts?
Geico after tweaking numbers was still my best bet. for ~159 i can get: Body Inj- 25/50,000 Prop Dmg- 20,000 Personal Inj- 50,000 100$ deductibles for both. this good or should I lower the property damages etc? For one, I'm paying 177 for liability now, under my dad. |

^ I was surprised when I got the quote from geico. When every other place had me at least 220-300 a month. I do have the good student discount and a took a drivers defense class which helped a lot. I have 200$ deductibles with glass, 50k for property damage and 100/300k personal injury. I also live in Buffalo NY. I don't know why it's so low for me, but I'm not asking any questions lol.

Location plays a big part.... upstate is not as congested as NYC...which is where I am.
A quote for CT was just a hair over half... |

I dont drive a wrx but I had NJM auto insurance up until about two Weeks ago. Switched to liberty mutual and for the same coverage plus A few cool features such as first time accident forgiveness and no car has a dedicated driver so no matter which car you are driving you are fully covered we pay $1400 less.

FYI you don't need to join the military to get USAA...just need a family member who has served or is serving. And it isn't just insurance that is a great deal...almost EVERYTHING under USAA is a great deal.

I understand but wouldn't that mean I'd have to go under their insurance?
