NICE!!! how are you dealing with the power steering issue? I had a chance to get a twin turbo manifold at one point and passed it up

Question should I use the Ej22 injectors or EJ25? I think the EJ22's flow slightly less, but I ask because I want to send out the injectors to be cleaned and flow tested.. my EJ25 injectors have 256K on them.

Neither! It boils down to what you're using as an ECU. Match them to the ECU.

Goodbluck with that. You're better off doing a complete wrx or sti swap. Know of someone that built his ej22e to support a 20g and had issues here and there stalling at a complete stop.

That someone had a leak in the intake piping. Only reason why it would stall out. |

not true... you can have issues with lots of things. A common one i have seen is if you try to combine a lightweight pulley and a lightweight flywheel sometimes the deceleration of the engine is too quick for fueling to kick back on.

So you're saying that everybody who turbocharges their ej22e will have this exact same problem? As if there isn't some cause for the problem that can be fixed.

To be honest I think had I stopped at 350WHP and not pushed my Airfuels as lean as i did It would have lasted longer, BUT I'm damn hard on my car. I did this as a cheap way to get my car running. It just so happened to hold up to boost well.
Your biggest issue imho is tuning , My advantage was being a 20/22 I had 03 ecu |

I bet a EJ22e + Pistons could hold 400ish with proper tune and e85. |

I shared the link to give the other poster some ideas of what a semi-similar build could do. That's all. Btw-like what you've done with your wagon and thanks for you pics on Suziemk's thread. I'm planning on taking that info and doing the same as you and he did to my 99 Wagon. (MAP EJ222) |

Some folks say no fmu is required on maf cars but as you can see even 6:1 is a bit too lean for a reliable long lasting engine. Check out my parts list on rs25 where I outline turbo kits for map EJ222s based on my own OBS wagon which has been boosted since 2004 & is still running strong with a best 1/4 mile time of 12.8Xs - stock longblock, no e/m, single port! |
