2.0L sb with 2.5L heads? New to me. Although I'm sure someone out there has done it.

Mushroom tip is really not a very good combustion chamber design.

Not to mention the potential head gasket issues. 92mm bore with heads designed for 99.5mm bore is not going to end well.

The STi heads are not really a better design than the 2.0L heads. They are different, but not really better. Use STi cams on a 2.0L head if you want better breathing. get overseas 2.0L AVCS heads if you want AVCS.

Overseas AVCS heads? **** that! Get JDM bigport non-avcs heads. V6 or 7, I don't recall exactly.

AVCS is nice, but wiring it into a car that doesn't have it is a nightmare.

its not really that hard if you get a v7 jdm sti ecu or a standalone...that only requires running 4 wires.

I don't often see the ECUs for sale. My engine's healthy, otherwise I'd look into bigport heads and 2.5 shortblock with forged pistons...I need more torque! I can only imagine what a CNC combustion chamber bigport head hybrid build would be like...
