How do U stop spray going on the back window?
Hi guys,
is there any way to stop road spray going all over the back of the car when you're driving in the wet? I know the roof wing like Pkduck's does nothing, is there anything else?

You need the "Rear window dust deflector" Subaru offers for $122 list. You can probably get a generic one for less somewhere else, but you know this one will fit. Remember, you want the "dust deflector" NOT the spoiler. The spoiler is just for looks.

So what does it look like, it's not listed on the subaru uk website.

Ah yup, that's the dust deflector. I have one on my '98 S. What it seems to do is push the spray and wetness down the window down with the redirected wind. I don't think it works great but it does seem to keep things flowing down.

The way these things are designed (high drag co-eff.) the wind just eddies around and deposits everything to the back. |

Thanks for the info guys,
as I don't do any motorway driving unless I'm off the island it isn't worth getting one. I'll just have to keep using the back wiper. Do rear splashguards/mudflaps make much difference? I guess they won't as the sides get covered by spray even though I have the front ones. toerag |
