Default Does a 1st gen OEM intake fit a 2nd gen Legacy?

I'm looking to trade my aftermarket intake with a member who has a 1st generation Legacy. I would be installing his OEM intake in my '99 Legacy and just wanted to confirm that it would fit. They both use a MAF and seem to be shaped similarly. Is the sizing right? Will it fit?

you could retro fit it, but it would not line up as well. and the box would not be able to be mounted, it would just be sitting there.

I had to retrofit an intake on my ej22T transplant.
