Default power balled my muff

so i picked up a used exhaust and thought it would be smart to polish the gunk and crap off of it BEFORE installing it. used the mother's power ball and metal polish.

a few pics

before

afters

it's not perfect, like new, but it looks damn good and it only took 15 minutes to wash and polish it. not bad.

+1 for mother's power ball

Now that looks like a polish. The Adams stuff seems to not get rid of the swirls like you did.

thanks for all the feedback. i probably could have spent a little more time on cleaning it before hand with a good degreaser to get all the tiny black spots off there, but i'm not going for absolute perfection

i wanna do this to my rims, they have a polished lip that needs some care, but i am afraid it will mess up the painted/non-polished spokes of the rim... do you think it would?

As long as the polish isn't ridiculously abrasive then I think you would be alright. The polish the OP used should be fine for you.

Be careful. Many polished lips have a clear laquer that can be damaged by buffing.

Great results...I'll have to do this to my SPT.

Do I spy Apex'i World Sport? I had it on my old car and adored it.

I used the metal polish by mother's, can be used on many different kinds of metals and finishes, but they do have one more specifically for chrome, if you have any on your car

And it is Apex'i WS and it is perfect for a daily driver. Looks semistockish, is very quiet around town but sounds mean as hell at WOT. Still, GTSpec sounds sooo much better in my opinion, just draws too much unwanted attention

so if my exhaust right now looks worse than that first pic do you think this will work on mine? It has faint rust spots and all kind of jazz like that on it.
