Default 97 Legacy L to GT brake upgrade?

Hello all,
I have a GT I'm stripping some parts off of, and my friend has a 97 L wagon that needs a brake job. There are a really nice set of cryo rotors I'm taking off the GT, and was hoping to put them on my friends wagon for him. Then I started thinking, crap, doesn't the GT have a slightly larger front rotor? Will the rotors fit under his wheels, which I think are 15" steel wheels. If wheels aren't an issue, can I just swap the rotors over, or do I need to swap the caliper and or the caliper brackets? I'm hoping to do this tomorrow morning....so any thoughts would be really appreciated.
THanks
Czo

Im not sure about them fitting under the rims. Take one of his rims and put it on your GT to find out!

Also, you would have to switch the caliper/caliper brakets in order to accomodate the GT rotors larger diameter. The GT calipers are also dual piston (I beleive) instead of the L's single piston.

Im assuming all the rear is the same though

15" wheels will indeed fit a 96-99 USDM Legacy GT.

Third generation Legacy's eventually adapted the larger WRX front rotors (~MY 2001) which do indeed require 16" wheels as the smaller brake setups proved to be somewhat overwhelmed by the increased weight of these vehicles.

I think you SHOULD swap the dual piston GT calipers and caliper brackets as well as the rotors.
