I don't know if I have a 5mt transmission all I know is I have a stock 2004 wrx with a 5 speed manual tranny :/ where can I find out what tranny I have?

Edit: by the way sorry for dumb questions. As you can tell I'm new to this but I just know I need to change the tranny fluid and was recommended this.

5mt is a 5 speed Manual Transmission. They are one and the same.
The 5 is for five speeds, the m is for manual and the t is for transmission.

wait, hold the phones.

The HypoyC I've been searching for, has been in front of me in various stores!!?

I know you said no stupid PM's (or questions) but I though ANY "limited slip" oil in the 5mt was bad?

I've been trying to find a bottle that didn't say "limited slip" for a MINUTE! When did they change this!?!!?

Edit: nvm, read back a few pages. I must have missed the part about the new HypoyC bottle before.

I wish I would have known this earlier.

I've been looking through to see if anyone has asked my question but I didn't see it asked. My local store only has castrol 75w-90 limited axle slip. Is it important I get the 80w-90 instead?

Rocking the V3 Cocktail in WI. I'll keep it posted how she handles in the colder weather. I have noticed a clicking noise upon start up that goes away when the vehicle is warm (normal operating temperature). Any thoughts on that?

I have asked around about the 75w-90 and the 80w-90 and I heard the 75w-90 may be a little rougher than the 80w-90 in cold weather but you said you did the v3 cocktail so I assume it is 80w-90 so I am not sure on that one.
