Default help a noob part out an sti/wrx!!!

hey guys i need your help, right now me and a buddy of mine part out cars as a side business. as it sits right now we part out m3's, and once and a while an srt-4 provided we get true interest and no window shoppers.

right now the m3 being our main car we part out we are loking for a second consistant type of car to part out...one of our customers in passing the other night said we should get into parting out the wrx or sti.

with that being said i got home and began to research what i can to see if i can get a hold of these cars and what the value on some of the parts are. right now i have access to any subaru wrx/sti/legacy etc. the only problem is my lack of experience with this platform and lack of knowledge on what parts are worth.
im researching as much as possible and these cars seem to have so much potential its rediculus, i never really knew how many quality parts these cars ctually had in them...
can you guys help me find the right car to part out? also what prices are on most parts? ive been researching non stop the past few days and ive seen so many parts for sale at so many different prices but i figured i would come here to ask you guys so i can get a realistic response to what these parts are all worth and what my gold mine car would be.

Thanks alot guys and i hope to be able to help you out in the future with parts ;-)

parting m3's is gunna be a lot more lucrative part wise then subies, but you will prob find a lot more subies to part so you may do pretty well. If you can get your hands on a bugeye sedan (preferably midnight black pearl) ill gladly take the bumper and fenders from ya for 400 haha

parting out the m3 is definately lucrative and its doing us well so far, but honestly it sems to be a close call between the two. the m3 has alot more parts on it that can be sold and that are sought after,
but subaru has less parts that are worth more money. for example the engine on the sti is worth more from what ive read than the s52 or s50 motors, and lets not forget what the ful suspension, brakes, rims and tires are worth on those sti's...the thing that confuses me is that i see some sti motors (04-07 especially) and trany sawaps selling for 7 grand! i dont know if im researching wrong but thats what ive seen them selling for online. if i found the right crowd of subbie guys i can get an unlimited amount of those cars and keep parting them out fulltime because i can get unlimited access to them.
this doesnt only go for the sti, i can get the wrx, legacy gt etc...whatever is most popular and can be parted out fast is what i want to do.

engine+tranny id say 7 grand may not be too terrible of a price, individual tho i think most sti 6spds go for 3-3700 depending on what bits are all included (tranny, diff, clutch, etc)

1) RESEARCH in the classifieds and on ebay to get a feel for parts and values

2) if you intend to part out cars here on nasioc, you must have a registered vendor i.d.

thank you
