Thumbs up MMA Containment Thread v.2

MODERATOR EDIT:

Previous thread: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1754503

With all the fans, fanbois and haters going back and forth, and 3 or 4 random UFC 100 threads, I thought this might be a good Idea.

Everything from news and rumors, who will be fighting on the UFC #XXX card and of course, old sweaty dudes just lying on top of each other to get their jollies.

Come here and get your fill.

I will start...

Aoki vs. Fedor? More likely than you think...

Pictures here - http://www.mmatko.com/fedor-emeliane...m-1-challenge/

http://www.m-1global.com/en/news/det...-down-in-japan

Quote:
While it was nothing more than a sparring exhibition in which no score was kept, the pairing of WAMMA heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko vs. WAMMA lightweight champion Shinya Aoki was able to invoke an outpouring of applause and cheering from a normally reserved Japanese crowd.

Advertised locally as a \"special super exhibition,\" the encounter held between M-1 Challenge fights on Wednesday night in Tokyo featuring the two undisputed world champions resembled a training session that you might see inside of a fight gym. The only difference was that nearly 1,000 spectators were on hand at Differ Ariake to watch the two square off while donning Gis.

Fedor utilized his strength advantage to send Aoki soaring with several Sambo throws. At one point, Aoki played to the crowd and removed his Gi in jest and attempted a flying armbar on Fedor. With both fighters pressing each other well less than 100 percent, the two smiled for much of the session and embraced after the final bell had sounded.

The entire Fedor vs. Aoki session will premiere in its entirety on Monday, May 4 at both www.M-1Global.com and www.Mixfight.ru on a video-on-demand basis.

The video of the session will air free of charge on a video-on-demand basis starting on Monday, May 4 at www.M-1Global.com and www.Mixfight.ru. Despite erroneous speculation, the fight video will be available free of charge.

Just watched the Weidman fight.
Props to Weidman. Spidey sense reaction time on that elbow. Ref should have stopped the fight about three shots earlier than he did.

Yeah he was looking into it with Strike force back then.

Guess it's finally happening. October 6.

Looks like he is listed at 6'6" and 290.

He might be 290 if he put some weight back on. Last pics I saw of him he was looking pretty small. Granted at 6'6 he's still going to be "heavy". I mean it makes sense if he has to make weight at 265.

I just watched the Munoz vs. Weidman fight last night, that was a great elbow.

Do you guys think he can really take on Silva?

Thanks. Just watched the fight That counter right elbow was amazing. Weidman looked like he did his homework and practiced this. Still amazing he was able to pull it off so well in actual combat.

The finish made me cringe a little on the late stoppage. I can't really hate on the judge though, he was trying to give Munoz a fighting chance.

I thought maybe 1-2 punches too late. On the replay it looked like the shots down to the chin weren't really hitting, but the head slams were. Redding would be a hard job.

Wrong. Kardashian is a pile of crap and this country would be better off if more people had the balls to stand up to this society of stupidity that is entertained by living vicariously through white trash which they catapult to infamy on the laurels of their indiscretions.

Meanwhile I'm typing this on a board where people are entertained by cars in a thread where people are entertained by fights.

I <3 me some RR and can not wait to see her tear the arm off of Kaufman!

Meh I just find myself cringing when she opens her mouth. Ah so you're an annoying professional fighter and you want to beat the crap out of an annoying useless woman? Congratulations for sounding like an idiot.
