Default Seattle weathe forecasters are joke! Not even a funny one at that!

IS everyone enjoying the snow they didn't get?

This is what, the 4th time they've called wolf on snow this winter and still not a single flake for seattle? I'm now getting kind of pissed off with that el nino bastard. Tricky little jerk isn't he?

Ohh well, maybe tonight snow will happen, but I'm not even going to count on it. At least this is washington, so we can always drive to the mountains for snow (even snow is scarce up there this year). I guess if seattle got 4 ft of snow each year we would be cursing it rather than do Indian voodoo witch dances to makes it happen.

You'll still see me ripping it up at 2am if that snow does fall . OR you might see me sitting in the middle of the road looking up, waiting... waiting... waiting... ohh it 2006 already?

If it snows I'll be out there too early in the morning. I believe weather is really hard to predict in this area compared to the rest of the country. Where I got that idea maybe from the air...

actually, a few years ago i had an engineering internship at KOMO. while i was working on steve pool's computer, i talked with the weather people who work behind the scenes getting his forecast ready. they were working on the temperatures across the puget sound.... so HOW do you guys know it'll be 42 in seattle and 47 in tacoma?? ...."well we just sort of guess. we know tacoma is usually few degrees warmer than seattle, so we pick a good number."

....this actually happened.

realistically speaking though, even NOAA weather radio forecasts are wrong.

and this is why some of us have subarus.... always a certain level of preparedness with awd.

This morning when I got into work I blew up at the first person that requested the same update for the 10th time (so it was deserved). But the reason I was so angered to begin with was because I was watching the local news beforehand.

First - no snow. THEN to make it worse, the news folks have "Deep Freeze" coverage going...it's frickin RAINING OUT!!! Idiots!! And they're like, "Oh, look at the white stuff up there in Blaine!"...yeah, that's practically Canada. While showing a rain soaked I-5, one of them says, "No reports of ice yet..." DUH, it was like 40 degrees out.

I was probably more annoyed than any sane person should have been, but c'mon...SNOW DAMMIT!

Woo Hoo! Snow from Bothell to Everett! Then I turned around. Its more of a wet slush slop though. But it was still fun!!

My first turn in the snow with AWD......hit the curb.

My first down hill stop sign in the snow......abs kicks in and I can't plow stop and run the sign.

2 blocks later I get out and take a pee, pull the abs fuse and....Woo Hoo! I can stop again!!

Lets hope tomorrow we get even more!! But it doesn't really look like it.
