2011 STI OTS map vs Pro tune
Hello Guys
I just loaded the Cobb stage 1 OTS map and I was wondering if I get my car pro tune, this is going to be a big difference? Its worth it? I only have a catback (no DP). Thanks I feel like my 2007 stage 2 was quicker, maybe the power/torque curve was totally different.

Of course it will be different. But would be a waste of money for how your car currently sits.

First, a protune will always be better than an OTS tune. You need to decide if you want to spend the $XXX.xx to have it done. Personally id wait until stage 2.
Second, OBVIOUSLY your stage 2 2007 STi was faster. Its basically the same motor and turbo. What makes you think stage 1 will be quicker? |

My 2007 was just a WRX stage 2. So at Stage 2 on my STI, It will be a good idea to Dyno tune the car?

Generally you can get a little more power and some added drivability with a pro-tune but it partially depends on the tuner and how they tune it. If they tune it aggressively you can see a good amount more power but it will put more strain on the motor. Staged OTS tunes are designed to be very conservative but they don't make as much power and are obviously not dialed in perfectly for each car. Good luck. |

dont forget your going from a 5spd, to a 6spd.. different gearing etc etc... i would do the mods necessary for stg2, and if your still not feeling good after that, then i would research into an ebcs and protune..
