Thumbs up Has anybody seen the new Kumho race tires?

I just saw an ad for them in Grassroots Motorsport.

R700 DOT Rally Tire
V700 DOT R Tire (redesigned with new tread and ECSTA markings)
S700 Racing Slick

The Racing Slick has got my attention!

Yep, the TireRack has no idea when the new V700 will arrive other than "Spring". They still have plenty of the old variety in many sizes.

Huh? Not sure about US. But in Canada, alot of autoXers are using Kumho V700 Victoracers. It's stickier than Proxes R1.

Best thing is they're cheap too!! Before I moved a bunch of the club guys I raced with converted over to them because they cost less than BFG r1's and other big name tires. And they all seemed to run just as fast !!

Not sure about how long they will last though..seemed like the wear rates were comparable to other similar tires..

I've run the V700 Victoracers on my 944 Turbos for quite some time. The news is that tires has been redesigned, and also they are coming out with a racing SLICK.

The original V700 was offered in 225/50-16, which fits if you have very stiff suspension at stock ride height OR you relieve the rear fenders a bit.

Dunno about the new one yet. I would think that they will at least have the 225/50-16 but maybe some other 16" sizes too that could fit an impreza.
