Sure did but then again I didn't realize in my class at least that stock appearing meant I could have used my fiberglass front end, cf fenders and fully gutted the interior.

I'm happy that I kept up and ran with evo's in track trim in my 100% street trim car though. Even edged out an fp black powered evo x in eliminations.

I had a good time though I was pleased with my cars performance and the event all together and that's what it is all really about. Next year ill have my car more setup for the track since I know what I can do now.

That's my car, they wouldn't let me go in the stock appearing class. Wtf yet they let any evo go in that class. I ran in the straight up heads up class, was one of the only cars without slicks. Meanwhile, I drove my car there and back home (+100 miles) have AC, cruise, navi, sunroof, heated seats, full interior, basically my car is a nice daily.

Long story short, I took third place in the class against the trailer queens and shop built cars. I ran an 11.4 @ 122 running only 24lbs of boost. I'm hoping to get back next month and run the 28lbs that I should be running.

I wouldnt say we got beat up by the EVOs in heads up, we all gave them a run for their money, I even knocked out an "11 second EvO" with my 13 second STI..
I entered in Heads up and because there were only 4 STIs entered everyone qualified!!!

And I was going to use that to my advantage

so it was 8 EVOs vs 4 STIs

I did my part, knocked out 1 cocky EVO owner who said he had an 11 second EVO, if it was, he sure didn't push it... I Kept on it and nudged out a victory at the end, he was so pissed he stormed off and didn't even pick up his slip.

I made it to the Quarter finals ( I know we only started with 12 to begin but by the time they called us back up there were only 4 STIs and 4 EVOs...

I dunno what happened there.

In the round of 8 I almost repeated another victory, I ran a 13.440 the other guy ran a 13.493 and he won... .311 reaction time on his side .522 on mine, oh well

Here are my slips, Video coming up soon, I am missing run 2 I missed 3rd, the EVO i ran against also messed up and I ended up with a 14.190 and him with a 13.98.

I am car 403

At least I know my Bracket for next time 13.420 sounds good! Also someone critique my 60' times I felt like I was getting REAL good launched every time, my reaction needs some work.

Good meeting you Mike. This is Max, the blue 09 in the stock appearing class with the slipping clutch. What happened on your last run? Looks like you had an issue.

Anyone know if Precision's blue drag car ended up making a full pass? Only saw 2 attempts, there were issues at the line. Sounded bad ass though.

is that a design flaw in these transmissions or I'm just bad at shifting?

I did the same 2-3 shift error on my second pass, last year i did the same thing on 2 of my 3 passes...

I'm in 2nd I go to shift hard into 3rd and I hit the space between 3rd and 5th...

every time I do that it costs me 1-1.5 seconds...

Also guys I just thought of something, I googled reaction time and saw anything under .500 is a red light (left too early), on my quarter finals run I ran a .522 my opponent ran a .311 did he red light and I won that race? The slip said he won so I left...

2-3 shift is just difficult because you have to throw up and over. Its much easier to just throw 1-2, 3-4 which are just straight up and down. Add in 7000 rpm FFS and it makes the synchros have to work even harder.

You can cut .000 R/T. .5 anything over .10 is actually pretty darn bad in comparison to real drag racing. I go out almost every week with my brother in laws heads up racing and he will consistently cut .03x or better.

Not knocking your r/t's just truth I was cutting .4/5 r/t as well.

Only 2 Subaru's in the Heads UP Class, me and MrSlowBaru (Not stock appearing). I had to run low boost (18psi) because of my clutch which I killed the night before and tech saying I couldn't go faster than an 11.99 because I needed a fire jacket...Weird, never needed a firejacket until 9.99 or 10.99 at other tracks. Going to stick the twin-disc in and run my high boost map (25psi, which is still technically low for my setup but I only have 450 miles on the motor haha).

Thanks for the picture;

Awesome car man. If I recall correctly, Mikey tuned you car. Rotated setup right? A fire jacket is needed with any car that has anything other then a stock turbo.

They didn't say anything to me about a fire jacket. But they also thought I was going to run 12's

they require you to run a fire jacket when you dont have a stock turbo. even if its a stock location.. well thats the rule that they usually enforce at etown.
