I think a lot of those kids come from upper Westchester.

I'm from White Plains and honestly don't see too many around my area.

Mine is probably the only STI, but i'm like 5 years older than most of them

One could argue that you don't see Moroccan blue STi wheels daily, ARC hood scoop, etc. I could even argue that you don't see Spec.B's everyday... doesn't mean you don't see Legacy's every day.

If you want to get something that the typical ricer/kid doesn't have, you buy something in a higher price bracket. Want to live in a better neighborhood? Move to a more expensive area. Want to have the best cream cheese you've ever had? Move to Philly and eat it by the bucket.

Want to live in a better area go where no one really lives. lol Doesn't have to be expensive. Our cars became trendy. Not for nothing but there are teenage kids driving around with $40k STi's and also $40k 1 series bimmers now. Really can't go by price anymore. Reason why I posted gallant up above, no kid will think about that car because they have no idea what it is. And not to mention the fact that there are only a few hundred left in the us driving around. Everyone has there own taste but sometimes people do things because it's the cool thing to do. Now everyone and their mom has a WRX because they are so cheap to buy and EVERYWHERE for sale. Make something rare and not many people will have it. Not saying it's always good but for a car that I posted above 9k is a steel in that condition for a car of that nature that is 21 years old to boot.

Didn't your buddy Glen have one? I remember when he bought it. Haven't seen that kid in a couple of years now. Badass little sleeper. I also saw a Celica all trac/gt4 the other day... always wanted one but they're so ugly.

I was about to leave work and come punch you in the face because the first pic makes it look like you have a roof rack.

Hey guys! Long time, no see!! Quick question...

I currently have my manifold / tgv's out of the car to perform a repair on my engine harness. I figured when reinstalling, I'd also do tgv deletes (might as well since theyre out).

Ultimately, my question is:
Is there anyone in the NYC / Lower Westchester area that would be able to disable the codes that are thrown when this mod is completed? I understand this could trigger limp mode if not accounted for, and I definitely want to avoid that.

The best way to deal with the Subaru scene idiots is to ignore them.

I feel like the idiot progression over the past few years has gone as follows:
1. Civics and DSMs
2. SRT-4s
3. WRXs and beat up old Evos with "20g under the hood, yo"

They will all go away soon enough.

What kills me is the asshats that don't even acknowledge other Subaru drivers.

Turning into my neighborhood the other day, I saw a lowered FXT(WRX suspension height) with a NASIOC sticker, STi V7 wheels, and an exhaust, and when I gave a honk and a wave, he gave me a dirty look and ignored me. WTF is that ****?

There will always be idiots that ruin any brand car its inevitable. I just laugh to myself when I see a riced out civic or even wrx for that matter...

Example: Last week I went to Shell in New Rochelle and getting gas and saw an Integra ls with primer quarter panels and a tow hook. Shortly, his friend rolls in with a Da that is covered in primered sections and also has a tow hook, w an angry bird stuffed animal. I drive by with my windows open and I hear the kid under his breathe call my car "junk." I just looked at him and gave him a nice smirk.

I love people like that...
