oil consumption and AOS
I started blowing smoke at started so I was told to get a AOS and now it stop blowing smoke out the tail pipe but it's still consuming a lot of oil could this be a blown turbo? Or cracked ring land?

It could be a blown turbo, but probably a ring land. A leak down test in two different positions for each cylinder will tell you for sure.

It still hits full boost but It won't hold it and it has the infamous wastegate crack

Who told you an AOS would solve all your problems. AOS will not magically cure mechanical issues. They will however handle reasonable amounts of oily blowby gasses but if it is a blown turbo leaking into the exhaust then an AOS will do nothing for that.
It would be best to figure out where your oil is going first. Do you have an oily intake tract? |

If it changed the amount of smoke blowing, then the oil was getting into the intake tract by blowby. Excessive blowby means you either have a cracked ringland or worn rings. Get a leakdown test, and I guarantee you will find that you are losing compression in at least one cylinder into the crank case.

I had oil in the intercooler, in the tb and in the turbo. I was using Enos 5-30 to rotella. 5-40

I have the gs aos and today I'm installing the crawford one and I should be getting a compression and leak down test by the end of the week.

If you do get a AOS go Crawford, the GS is know to have issues with those who track, auto x, or drive their hard. Catch cans also work.... I went Crawford and called it done.
Also quick test, turn the car on and pop the hood. While the cars running remove the oil filler cap, if white smoke is coming from there your getting blow by and your piston rings are pretty much shot (not 100% but that's a tell tell sign) |

Crawford AOS is definitely better than the GS, but neither one is going to fix that ringland crack. |

Air/oil separators don't "fix" anything, they just require you to add less oil in between oil changes if you're cornering or otherwise driving hard and tossing oil out of the heads. That's it.
If you have a problem, an ACTUAL problem, an AOS will not fix it. It's like sticking a bucket under a leak in your roof in your house. The bucket doesn't fix the leak in your roof, it just keeps your floor from getting wet. No matter how fancy a bucket you stick under it, you still need to fix the ****ing leak in the roof. Stop buying AOS and find/fix the problem. |

I wouldn't imagine that you could run low on oil before you ran out of fuel (that would be a LOT of oil consumption), so if you just checked and topped it off whenever you stop for fuel it would be fine. An AOS would reduce the necessity to add oil (or at least as much) during these pit stops. I wouldn't say it's either a bandaid or a requirement in this case, but it could help reduce the amount of oil you need to add between runs.
I'm not saying AOSs are useless, I'm just saying that they don't fix any mechanical problems you might have with the car. |

Well I just finished putting on the crawford aos I had to add a quart of oil let's see what happens before the compression and leak down test
