Actually the first production run sets came in last week and I've been a bit busy inspecting them. I'll have to get picks and all that good jazz up on here.

To TT or not to TT, that is the question! Only cause they are sitting on my counter with a pile of other goodies, ready to go to the machine shop!

I have two sets here, but we're working on putting together an EXTREMELY LIMITED group buy for the rods and perhaps pistons if you need them.

I have some info on our site, and I'm sure Micah can elaborate further.

Micah and I were JUST talking about that this afternoon. There are two ways you can go on this.

1) make NO dimensional changes from the chromo rod and just use 300m. You'd end up at about the same weight, but you'd have a rod set good to something like 1500hp.

2) take advantage of the stronger material and thin things down and keep the same BMEP (or HP if you want to think in those terms) and you'll see a drop in weight. To give you a good idea the Honeybadger +2 rods I have here are +2mm in length and take advantage of the 300m offerings. Those come in at 515g.

IF you were to take advantage of the 300m strength to weight, BUT you MUST have a target weight of 490g then you're not looking at a 1000hp rod set. Without running any real numbers at all, but taking a somewhat educated guess you'll be looking at a 600hp rod set.

Yup, everyone should know that Dom (MPs) and I share a lot

I do my own FEA on my designs since they don't but yeah, same manufacturer. I'm actually really curious to see how my Solidworks FEA compares to the Ansys that I use with my consulting work (because I'm a nerd).Likewise comparing some of my piston (crown) CFD work.

As for specs, I sent them over to Clint (long overdue) this morning, so I imagine the GB thread will be updated shortly.

How much stronger and/or lighter would the 300m versions be of these? I am looking at titanium rods for strength and lightness (would love a super quick revving engine)(and yes I am well aware of the debates surrounding titanium pistons). looking at 650 whp with an 8374 efr on a built ej257.
