Helix Up Pipe Welds Crappy, What to do?
What would you guys do with this?
Just die grind it out? I am about to send my up pipe and manifold to go get coated... I never had noticed the bloody welds until now!!! Thx, Fed

Such obsession! It's no big deal. If you wanted a smooth, laminar uppipe, you should have purchased a cast iron TurboXS uppipe or one without a flex joint. By going the Helix route or others with a flex you are missing out on .000456HP. If it's a big deal to you, grind it or call your Vendor for a refund. I vote put it on and have a nice day.

I don't think that's going to harm anything either but if you need a clean internal piece my Perrin UP didn't look like that inside.

my helix pipe was like that at first too. i grinded some off at home with a dremel, but when i set it off to be coated by Jet Hot i think they grinded a little on it too. cause it came back much smoother than when i sent it.

Hahahaha, I'm actually not looking for perfection, I believe I just feel 'ghetto' sending out a piece like that to get coated... And I just don't want to feel like i have to do it AFTER i get the parts coated, because, frankly, that would stink
