Cool SpeedMonkee Performance Chimney & Heatshield - RARE!

SOLD!

This is one of the best complimentary pieces for cars with stock WRX TMIC. It fits the extra hole on the passenger side of the TMIC bracket, and feeds the Turbo with outside air... right through your hood scoop. Take a peek through the scoop, over on the passenger side, and you'll see the opening it utilizes. When the car is at a stop, it actually expels heat... therefore the 'chimney' effect. The bottom heatshield part will fit pretty much over any aftermarket Downpipe.

I've had one in my car for close to a year (see pics), and can vouch for it's excellent fitment, build quality and effectiveness. SpeedMonkee is now defuct, and afaik... you can't buy these new anymore. This is an extra one I kept for a while. I've used Gorilla Glue to reinforce the rubber seal. The allen bolts are in great shape w/ no rust or corrosion, I'll even include an extra 13mm bolt you'll need to secure it to the car. Will let it go for $100 shipped and paypal'd to anywhere in the US via FedEx. PM me any questions you may have... thanks!

Bump cause I've always loved this little piece! Wish I had the spare $120 for it, but I'm going FMIC and also need a CBE first! GLWS!

Just FYI, Subtle Solutions sells basically the same thing albeit at a sub $200 range. I would jump on this if I was retaining the stock TMIC.

As long as that hole in the TMIC bracket is still open and has room for something to be bolted on... it should work.

How much taller does the top of the chimney sit than the top of the intercooler? And does it replace the stock heat shield as well? Does it work with after market DPs?

I'd say about 1.5 - 2"... basically the difference would be the length of the rubber seal that goes around the intercooler. It does go slightly above the stock heatshield, but you'll likely need to remove it. And yeah... it'll fit over pretty much any DPs.

I see, thanks. Did you have both the stock headshield and this on your car?

Nope... I removed it while putting this one on. It does a really good job by design.
