wow, Tom got a UTEC? Maybe he'll start coming out to the dragstrip now !
here's a word of advice: bolt on a downpipe ASAP, you won't regret it Guess you should put in some gauges (boost, EGT, oil temp) before you do any fidgetting with it. Especially since you have other mods like cold air intake. Gonz. |

Tom, congrats. Man, your car is gonna really move. Gonz is right, you should have a way to measure the important stuff like EGT, oil and boost. The pre-programed modes don't necessarily make it safe for your setup. Gonz is also right about your air intake.. that makes a big difference with your set up. TXS does NOT use air intakes.. ever..

Tom,
Be careful before messing around with the maps. I would do a LOT of homework because if you start changing things you could easily damage your engine. OK, enough gloom and doom. Once you learn the ins and outs, let me know because I will probably go the same route. |

Yes Tom, I would advance the timing and lean out the fuel mixture as much as possible and then make sure the rev limiter is totally disabled.
Just kidding because I'm really jealous . Seriously be careful and don't screw around like I would do if I got that. Dale |
