it is a designation about the bead area of the wheel and the size of the retention bump the tire has to be forced over during the mounting process

i see

i have a set of work emotion CR wheels.

they are 17x7J and offset 47
pcd100 5 bolt

my old wheels were 17x7JJ (extra J!) and everything else the same

it seems the centre bore doesnt quite fit my car.... (it is a legacy B4) the wheels are supposed to be for impreza??

anyway... it seems i require a centre bore locating ring or somesuch as there is some space aorund the thing which comes out the centre

anyhoo...myquestion is this

if the wheel is not perfectly centred... what is the major problem with this? any long term damage potential.... my wheel man reckons possible increased vibration but is otherwise safe

what are your thoughts on this issue... as it is bothering me enough to want a machine shop to make me some rings...

Go to a tire shop or a tuner shop and buy the plastic ones for $10.
