xluben, Please tell me you sent the datalog, car specs, vd plot and dynoplot to Brad? He wants all the data he can get from cars that have actually been on a dynojet to get his math back in order. You'd be doing the community a great service!

BTW: car is awesome all the way around!

Thanks. I have been working with Brad quite a bit. The logs for this tune read around 500WHP on the Virtual Dyno - Dynojet setting. We took a look at them and noticed an issue with how RomRaider collects data with "fast polling" turned on. The data rate is inconsistent and the RPM data actually goes up and down with time.

That is definitely not right, and causes the Virtual Dyno analysis to have some huge spikes. The smoothing takes care of the spikes so the plots look very normal, but it can skew the numbers. One of these days I need to do a log with fast polling turned off and see how it compares.

With the stock turbo and E85 I had the following results:

Virtual Dyno - Dynojet: 338WHP / 381WTQ
Dynojet at MAPerfoamce: 340WHP / 369WTQ

i may do the same just for vd plots and see what happens. I have noticed the rpm fluctuations as well.... SO is it a RR issue? Brad didn't mention that the last time we talked (less than a week ago) so I assumed he was aware of the fluctuations and already had that squared away...

I think the RPM fluctuations are an ECU issue. Fast polling just makes it more obvious. Turning off fast polling should "hide" it a bit, and hopefully will help the analysis. I think it will kind of work like an extra level of smoothing. I think in one of his beta versions he had tried removing smoothing, and that didn't work at all with the RR fast polling logs, so he has left it in.

I'm just curious I though 20gs were 47lb/min turbos. How can this be making almost 500 to the wheels, in theory they should make around 470 bhp right.

Wow. This must be a mad sleeper on the street, considering it has all that power with the stock catback. Plans for a new transmission?

It is really quiet around town. Doesn't draw any attention.

Just crossing my fingers on the tranny. Does that count as a plan?

If ever there was a "sleeper" WRX, this one is it. With the stock wheels it was even more so.

I recently put the stock cb back on as well. It's great, I get fewer kiddies testing me.

Keep up the inspiring work Ben!

Only ****!
I just got a 20gxt R installed on my 2010 sti and I'm nowhere near these numbers (350 whp and 370 torque with 750 injectors and OEM fuel pump). The engine looks like it's going to pop out

Yeah, I really like the look of the stock wheels better, but I getting something wider and lighter was too hard to pass up.

My car has always looked kind of stealthy and I get literally no one trying to play with me on the street.

On pump gas I'm assuming? The number sound reasonable. Your fuel and/or fuel system is likely holding you back quite a bit.

Yes pump gas, I also have TGV delete, invidia el header and turbo XS exhaust. I didn't think that turbo was capable to bring that kind of numbers, I will get there too 1 day
