I want to do matte white so bad, but I've been told its sucks to keep clean and it kinda absorbs dirt because of the finish.

Just wrapped my mustache (is that what it's called?) in gloss black lol. Not like you can tell in the pic considering they come gloss black from the factory... But i did it for paint protection. Also matches the vinyl'd chrome badge ring perfectly.

There's more than a few shots that show the roof from different angles throughout the thread... Are you asking for anything specific?

Well since my car remains in the garage i cannot confirm or deny the ease of cleaning a matte color. Once the project is complete and i begin to drive her around, i will most definitely report back with an answer.

This is so tempting, I'm gonna give this a shot with the roof and mirrors on my WRX. Can not wait to see some pics of the finished project. Keep up the amazing work!

This is looking sick. I've always like the black and white set up on a car.

Car looks very good... I'm probably one of the SWP's that you've seen around town. I was thinking of doing the exact same thing but was a bit leery of the process, but after seeing your thread I might just get the itch to give it a shot. Mind PM'ing me some details on where you obtained the vinyl, how much vinyl, extra supplies, estimated cost etc? Nice to see a local person doing this as we don't seem to have any people who do wraps around here.

I f'd up when i ordered my Plastidip, meant to get a can of white to paint the badge on the grille. Definitely pissed about that!
Anyway here is a pic of what it'll look like on the car...

Oh yeah man, removing everything is waaayy better! I'm too much of a perfectionist not to! I have serious OCD . I most definitely will keep everyone up to date on things. I've been pretty good about it so far
What type of tricks we talkin here my friend?? Although i am finished with all the molding i'm up for some truth! PM me details lol

Yeah, take it from legions of WRX owners who have flooded the trunk swap threads...keep your wing.

Car looks great. I actually prefer the little bit of gray on the front grill under the mustache. Adds a little subtlety for me. But other than that, everything looks cool. Question: With the front bumper, why didn't you cut the holes for the air extractors yet?

lol Yeah I'm pretty sure i'll stick with it!
I understand what your saying about the gray... but it just doesn't match up with anything so i figured it would look best in black!
And I haven't cut out those holes because i have to rip off that whole piece and redo the front bumper once i get an extra set of hands to help me out. I screwed up and got ahead of myself and ended up cutting the other hole out too early before i finished and came up short lol. Sooooo pissed about that because i spent forever on the bumper and it came out perfect besides that F up.
F'd up the rear aswell because my bastard squeegee has one sharp corner and cut a hole in the vinyl so i had to rip that off aswell!!

Here's the pic...I could've left it but i'm too anal and it hurts to look at.

Default Update

After seeing everyone Plasti-Dipping everything they can get their hands on I decided to do my wheels before powdercoating them to see how it would turn out. First sprayed them Matte Black and loved it but wanted a more glossy look too go with the theme of the car... Here is the turn-out:

To anyone wondering... I did 4 heavy coats of Matte Black, 2 Heavy coats Glossifier + 1 Light Coat Glossifier to finish.

BEFORE:

AFTER: (Matte Black)

Comparison between Matte Black and a single coat of the Glossifier (Still Wet)

Finished and Dried Glossifier

Installed Pictures will most likely be up tomorrow!
