Default FSM Errata - Transmission Crossmember Torque

I find myself looking up old threads for this correction every time I do transmission work... would be worth making this a sticky.

Correct torque specs for transmission crossmember bolts:

Some have reported issues with 52 ft-lb spec. on rear 4 bolts. Reduce torque on these 4 bolts at your own discretion.

I agree about the rear 4 bolts on the cross member, those are NOT the ones that you want to strip out. 40 ft lbs would probably be a safer bet. Same with the front two larger bolts, 90-95 ft lbs does the job just fine. No need to max them out though and find out the hard way...

FWIW, I've torqued them as the image shows without issue probably 75-100 times across 3 vehicles.
